WARREN - A Warren woman who pled guilty in October to an OVI U-turn crash that severely injured a motorcyclist in 2024 has learned her fate on Wednesday.
An employee at Judge Sean O'Brien's court tells 21 News 37-year-old Brittani Scott was sentenced to 10 days in jail, followed by five years of probation on charges of aggravated vehicular assault and OVI.
Scott was also ordered to pay a $375 fine, as well as $280,324.64 in restitution. Her driver's license was also suspended for two years.
The charges stem from a crash that occurred at the intersection of Tod Avenue and Maple Street in Warren back in May of 2024.
Scott had made a U-turn into the path of a motorcycle that ran into the side of her SUV. Scott suffered minor injuries from the crash, but the motorcyclist was seriously injured.
Police said Scott was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the crash.
