A New Castle man was sentenced in federal court after conspiring to distribute fentanyl, heroin and cocaine, according to a news release.
Edward Dietrich, 60, was sentenced by United States District Judge Robert J. Colville to serve six days in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after violating federal narcotic laws.
The release states that Colville was originally informed of reports that Dietrich was involved with conspiracy to distribute large quantities of drugs in New Castle and Detroit.
According to the Department of Justice release, the information present in court showed that Dietrich allowed fentanyl, heroin and cocaine to be stored inside and distributed from his New Castle residence for roughly a year.
The release also states that Dietrich received controlled substances as compensation for the use of his residence to store drugs.
