Modern Methods Brewing Company announced plans to move its Darlene Lounge from West Market Street to a location adjacent to its main taproom.

The business will host a final event at the current 145 W. Market St. location on Saturday, Jan. 10. The lounge is not closing permanently but is relocating to a space next to the brewery’s main facility at 125 David Grohl Alley.

According to a statement from the brewery, the new space was previously used for storage. The company leased the area from the BRITE Energy Innovators and the Youngstown Business Incubator. Management expects renovations for the new lounge to take several months.

The brewery invites patrons to visit the current location starting at 5 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature karaoke and drink specials intended to reduce existing inventory. Staff will also provide an interactive vision board where customers can offer input on the design of the new space.

Adam Keck founded Modern Methods Brewing Company, which became Warren’s first craft brewery since 1880. The Darlene Lounge originally opened to host private events and expand operating hours.

Staff members plan to transport the lounge’s eclectic decor and vintage electronics to the new venue.
