United States Postal Service unveils four-cent 'Angel's Trumpets' stamps

The United States Postal Service (USPS) unveiled on Friday, January 9, 2026, a new stamp available for purchase.
The four-cent "Angel's Trumpets" design, pictured above, follows the release of a round of other low-denomination flower stamps in 2024, including:
- One-cent Fringed Tulip
- Two-cent Daffodils
- Three-cent Peonies
- Five-cent Red Tulips
- 10-cent Poppies and Coneflowers
According to the release, the angel's trumpet is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can reach a height of over 20 feet in tropical climates.
Furthermore, the plant grows trumpet-shaped blossoms that face downward and can range from six to 24 inches long.
The newly unveiled stamp features four angel's trumpet flowers against a cream-colored background, symbolizing a denomination of four cents.
The image for the stamp was captured by photographer Harold Davis using a lightbox and a combination of photographic exposures to give the backlit flowers a translucent look.
"The point of this technique is to create a partially transparent effect using the colors that are passed through the flower petals, as is the case for most conventional flower photography," said Davis.
The four-cent stamp will be issued in panes of 20 and coils of 10,000, according to the release.
The USPS website lists that the sheet of 20 stamps costs 80 cents, while the coil of 10,000 costs $400.
