Amazon Pharmacy announced it has begun selling Novo Nordisk’s new oral Wegovy pill, offering the weight loss medication for as low as $25 a month to customers with commercial insurance.

The company said the medication, the first oral GLP-1 approved by the Food and Drug Administration for weight management, is now available for home delivery across the United States.

For customers without insurance, Amazon is listing the medication with a cash-pay price starting at $149 for a one-month supply. The digital pharmacy allows users to compare insurance copays against the cash price before purchasing.

“Amazon Pharmacy is focused on making it easier for customers to access the latest innovations in weight loss care,” said Tanvi Patel, vice president and general manager of Amazon Pharmacy. “By offering Wegovy through both insurance and a straightforward cash-pay option, we’re giving people more choice, greater transparency, and fewer barriers to care.”

Prescriptions can be sent directly to Amazon Pharmacy by healthcare providers. The company said it offers free delivery to all 50 states, with same-day delivery available to nearly half of its customer base. The pill will also be available at Amazon Pharmacy Kiosks in the coming weeks.

Amazon One Medical is also providing clinical evaluations and treatment recommendations for weight-related health concerns. The pharmacy division stated it is collaborating with digital health companies, including WeightWatchers, Wheel, and 9amHealth, to expand access to the treatment.
