Lisbon police officer resigns following allegations of inappropriate contact with teen

LISBON - A Lisbon police officer who was suspended following allegations of inappropriate conversations with a minor has resigned.
Lisbon Police Chief Mike Abraham confirmed with 21 News that officer Shawn Reynolds, who was suspended from the department as of December 29, has officially resigned from the department.
Reynolds's resignation letter reveals that he resigned from the department on January 2, 2026.
Reynolds was suspended after an adult woman informed the Lisbon Police Department that he was allegedly having inappropriate conversations with a juvenile female he had friend requested on Snapchat.
According to a police report, the alleged victim was 14 years old. The exact content of the conversation has not been revealed yet, but police said that it was sexual in nature.
The case has been turned over to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force to determine if any criminal charges will be filed. Court records do not show any charges filed at this time.
