YOUNGSTOWN - Two people were arrested following a search warrant at a home in Youngstown on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a police report, a search warrant was served at a home on the 1100 block of Springdale Avenue just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

At the home, police found and detained two suspects, identified as 44-year-old Herbert Shelton and 42-year-old Tammy Vanfossan.

Police say a search of the home revealed baggies of crack and cocaine, as well as pill bottles containing heroin and various pills, multiple firearms, suboxone strips, digital scales, credit cards and cash. All of these items were seized, according to the report.

Shelton was arrested on several drug possession charges, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and having weapons under disability. Police say Shelton is a convicted felon, which prohibits him from owning guns.

Vanfossen was also arrested after police found she had an active warrant for her arrest. She was booked on charges of possession of drugs and criminal trespassing.

There is no word yet on when either suspect will appear in court.
