Boardman man sentenced to over 15 years in prison for rape case
A Boardman man has been sentenced to prison in the case of a rape.
According to the Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office, Kyle Wilkinson, 31, pleaded guilty to rape (F1), gross sexual imposition (F3) and public indecency (M1) on January 14, 2026.
Wilkinson was formally indicted on charges in April of 2025.
The indictment outlines that Wilkinson engaged in sexual conduct and had contact with a victim less than 10-years-old between May 1, 2024, and July 23 of the same year.
Wilkinson pleaded guilty to charges during a pre-trial hearing and was sentenced to serve 16 to 21-and-a-half-years in prison.
In addition to serving a prison sentence, Wilkinson must also register as a tier three sex offender, meaning he will have to register with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office every 90 days for life.
