CVS Health offering MMR vaccine at Ohio pharmacy locations

CVS Health is advising and addressing the importance of getting the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, and is encouraging people to get vaccinated at its Pharmacy and MinuteClinic.
According to a release, CVS Health is offering the vaccine due to a recent outbreak recorded in Ohio.
The Ohio Department of Health's website states that the first measles case of 2026 came from Cuyahoga County and affected three individuals.
Measles is a highly contagious disease that can spread through the air when a person who is infected coughs or sneezes.
Symptoms of measles include:
-fever
-cough
-runny nose
-red, watery eyes
-red, blotchy rash
These symptoms can appear seven to 14 days after exposure, but may take up to 21 days to surface.
CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic are offering the MMR vaccine at over 300 locations in Ohio.
Patients ages five and older are eligible to receive the vaccine at Ohio CVS Pharmacy locations. At MinuteClinic, children aged from four to six years old can be given the second vaccination.
Patients are encouraged to schedule an appointment at CVS.com or on the CVS Health App, but walk-ins are also accepted. For scheduling appointments with MinuteClinic, those can be made at MinuteClinic.com.
