McDonald's Domitrovich receives coach of the year honors

McDonald High School track and field coach Louis Domitrovich is being recognized with two prestigious honors.
He's the recipient of the 2025 OATCCC Fred Dafler Career Coach of the Year Award and the 2025 OHSAA Track and Field Coach of the Year Award, two of Ohio’s highest coaching distinctions. In addition, he has been nominated by the OHSAA for the National Federation of High School Sports National Coach of the Year, placing him among the top coaches in the country.
With over three decades of service at McDonald High School, Domitrovich has led his program to sustained success, including multiple conference, district, regional, and state championships, while continuing a long-standing tradition of state qualifiers. Beyond competitive achievements, he is widely respected for his commitment to student-athlete development, community involvement, and leadership both on and off the track.
Domitrovich’s honors reflect not only competitive excellence, but a career defined by dedication, integrity, and service to McDonald High School and the surrounding community.
