WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - Salt Springs Road and Ohltown-McDonald Road reopened after the gas leak was resolved as of 5 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026.

Earlier Monday, A Trumbull County dispatcher told 21 News a gas leak was reported shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Niles Carver Road and Salt Springs Road after a gas line was struck.

The dispatcher says crews had been working to contain the leak, and there was no immediate danger to the public during the incident.
