YOUNGSTOWN - Police in Youngstown are investigating after a DoorDash driver was robbed at gunpoint and forced into the basement of a home, according to a police report.

Officers were called to a home on Delason Avenue on Sunday, January 18 shortly before 10:30 p.m. for the report of a robbery.

When they got there, officers spoke with the female delivery driver, who said she was greeted at the door by a male wearing all black, including a black mask, who told her he would be right back with cash.

Police say when the male closed the door, two more men with guns came from each side of the house and put the guns against the driver's back.

From there, police say the man who answered the door came back with a "rifle-style firearm," and the three suspects forced her into the home's basement at gunpoint. Police say the men told the driver to stay in the basement for 10 minutes.

Police say the men got into the driver's car and drove away. That's when the driver left the basement and called police.

According to the report, the house where the incident happened is a vacant home, and the doors to the house were unlocked.

No arrests have been made at this time.
