Some infrastructure projects in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, are set to receive some state funding.
Senator Michele Brooks (R-50) announced the news in a release on Tuesday.
The funding is being distributed through the Commonwealth Financing Agency's (CFA) Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program to help support sewer infrastructure improvements.
Approved projects include:
- North Beaver Township Municipal Authority received $100,000 for grinder pump procurement
- Wilmington Township received $100,000 for Eden Dale storm sewer improvements
- Lawrence Hickory Municipal Authority for $100,000 to be used for a Cameron Road sewage pump station upgrade
"Reliable water and sewer systems are essential to public health and economic development," Brooks said.
Brooks continued," I appreciate the opportunity to work with our local municipalities to secure this funding and look forward to working with them in the future."
