Greenville hosting workshop for borough revitalization

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Greenville Redevelopment Authority will host a public workshop on Wednesday to gather community feedback on future development plans for the borough.
The event is scheduled to take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Greenville Senior Center, located at 45 Alan Ave. The meeting is part of the Envision Greenville initiative, which focuses on community revitalization and land use.
The workshop will begin with a short presentation from the planning team. Afterward, attendees will participate in breakout activities and view exhibits to share their ideas. Organizers said the goal is to identify ways to make the area more pedestrian-friendly and better connected.
Officials plan to use the information gathered during the meeting to update the 2020 Redevelopment Plan. This document acts as a guide for how the borough handles new construction and improvements to existing neighborhoods.
Key goals from the 2020 plan include improving the appearance of downtown buildings and making the town easier to navigate for people on foot. The plan also focuses on finding new uses for vacant properties to help the local economy grow.
This session follows a previous public meeting held in September. Local leaders said they want to ensure the new developments fit the needs of current residents.
Community members who cannot attend but want more information can contact the borough at info@greenvilleborough.com or follow its social media pages for updates.
