Six monster trucks will compete on a dirt track at the Covelli Centre later this month.

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour will feature competitions in racing, freestyle, and tricks on January 30 and 31. The lineup includes the current tour champion, a dump truck-themed vehicle named Dirt Crew driven by Jerry Beck. Other trucks scheduled to appear include Blockhead, Dozer, Maximus, and the dinosaur-themed Jurassic Attack and Velociraptor.

Crews will move nearly 100 dump truck loads of dirt into the arena to build jumps and obstacles for the event.

The Friday performance begins at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-show event from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Saturday schedule starts earlier this year based on feedback from parents. The Saturday pre-show runs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the main event at 3 p.m.

During the pre-show sessions, known as the Pit Party, ticket holders can walk on the track to see the trucks and meet the drivers for autographs. Entry to these sessions requires a pass. Passes are available for 15 dollars at the box office or for free at Cocca’s Pizza locations.

Tickets for the event are on sale at the Covelli Centre box office and through the tour website.
