SEBRING, Ohio - Northern Italy may be the site of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, but one local high school held its own Olympic Winter Games right here in the Mahoning Valley.

Sebring Jr./Sr. High School kicked off its second semester with its very own Olympic Winter Games, where students engaged in a series of Olympic-themed activities.

Students competed for gold in their grade levels with activities like Oreo curling, snowball spoon walks, 'scooter sledding' races and paper plate speed skating competitions.

In addition to the Olympic activities, students watched the movie "Ralph Breaks the Internet," which explores themes of facing adversity and engaging with the world, as well as participating in team-building activities, small group discussions, and mental health presentations themed around the movie.

Students also played brain games and participated in a school-wide dodgeball tournament before the day concluded with an awards ceremony.
