Perry Township Fire Department responds to allegations against assistant chief

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Columbiana County - The Perry Township Fire Department has responded following allegations agianst its assistant chief.
Perry Township Assistant Fire Chief Anthony Constantino was arrested by the Mahoning County Human Trafficking Task Force in a prostitution sting in East Palestine.
He is charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.
In a press release, Perry Township Fire Chief Brandon Smith says Constantino has been suspended from his duties at the fire department as his case proceeds through the court system.
"Our priority remains the safety of our community and the integrity of our organization. ... We remain committed to to serving the residents of Perry Township with professionalism and transparency, and will continue to provide updates when appropriate," Chief Smith said.
Constantino is scheduled to appear in court again on March 25.
