CANFIELD - The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center (MCCTC) has announced new board leadership and a new board member.

More specifically, the roles of board president, vice president, and board member have been selected.

A release states that Jeffery Good has been chosen to serve as board president. Good has more than three decades of education, technology and public media leadership experience. He previously served as Interim President and CEO of PBS Western Reserve.

Secondly, Michael Stanko was selected to become the board's vice president. Stanko was a part of one of the first graduating classes of the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School's Aviation Mechanics program in 1974. Currently, he owns and operates the Youngstown Elser Metro Airport in North Lima.

Thirdly, Alexa Sweeney Blackann was named to join the MCCTC Board of Education. She previously served as Interim CEO of Lake to River Economic Development, was a JobsOhio regional partner, and served as President of Sweeney Chevrolet and Sweeney Buick GMC in Youngstown. 

"MCCTC looks forward to the leadership, experience, and continued dedication of its newly selected officers and incoming board member as the district advances its mission of preparing students for success," the release states.
