CANFIELD, Ohio - Kids looked on as a massive domino line of cereal boxes took a tumble at Canfield United Methodist Preschool Wednesday.

Through families within the school and outside donations, Pre-K teacher Alex Hudak said she was able to collect nearly $400 to spend at local grocery stores—all to benefit Canfield Operation Blessing, a nonprofit that provides food to those in need across the tri-county area.

"I took my husband shopping and we bought lots of cereal," Hudak laughed.

Roughly 375 boxes of cereal lined the floor of the school Wednesday morning, in preparation for the big moment. The preschoolers were also able to get involved in the event by helping set up the boxes before they all fell down like dominoes.

Hudak said they believe teaching the preschoolers the importance of giving at a young age is important.

"They really understand, they love helping," Hudak told 21 News. "We do this once a month. We have chapel and we bring donations, they put them in a bag and we walk them down to Operation Blessing. The women that volunteer down there actually did a class with them at the beginning of the year and taught the kids the importance of all of it and they love doing it."

Canfield Operation Blessing accepts donations all year long. Their Facebook page includes lists of the items most in need.
