YOUNGSTOWN - We're learning more about the reason behind a police presence at a Dollar General store in Youngstown Thursday evening.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Dollar General store on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown shortly after 4:30 p.m. for the report of a robbery.

Details on the robbery are scarce, but a police report states that the store's manager told officers the store had been robbed of money before the suspect drove away in an unknown direction.

The report did not have a description of the suspect's vehicle.

By 6:30p.m. the doors of the store, located off of Mahoning Avenue, were locked and customers were unable to get in. The store has reopened to customers as of Friday morning.

Youngstown Police Department told 21 News the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
