Firefighters from half a dozen communities were sent out early Friday to a raging house fire in Hubbard.

Trumbull County 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call just before 5:30 a.m., a house was burning on the 7900 block of Price Shaffer Road.

The first firefighter on the scene reported flames pouring from the roof of the home.

The fire quickly spread to the rest of the home as crews were also called out from Liberty, Brookfield, Vienna, and the Youngstown Air Reserve Station were also called out.

Fire engines on the scene quickly exhausted their water supplies and contacted dispatchers to find the nearest hydrants to refill their tankers.

Less than an hour after the fire was reported, all that remained of the single-story home was a burned-out shell.

The owner told 9-1-1 that no one was in the home at the time of the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
