WEST TWP., Columbiana Co., Ohio - A Canton man is suspected of OVI in a crash that left one person seriously injured in Columbiana County earlier in January.

According to court records, 23-year-old Wilfredo Ramirez of Canton is charged with OVI, driving in marked lanes and operating a vehicle without a valid license.

Ramirez was arraigned on January 16 and is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on April 1.

The crash happened on Friday, January 9 around 5:30 a.m. on Route 30 in West Township when troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say Ramirez went left of center and struck a 2018 Ram pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
