OSHP seizes 3,000 grams of cocaine during Mahoning County traffic stop

Troopers on scene say that a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed roughly 3,000 grams of cocaine, worth approximately $81,000.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) announced in a news release on Friday, January 23, that 3,000 grams of cocaine had been seized during a traffic stop in Mahoning County.

According to the release, troopers with the OSHP stopped a 2014 Cadillac SRX with a Pennsylvania registration on January 21 around 1:30 p.m. for a defect violation on Interstate 80.

The passenger of the vehicle, Randy Cottingham, 55, of Richmond Heights, was jailed in the Mahoning County Jail and charged with possession of drugs (F1) and trafficking drugs (F1).
