Organizations, churches and restaurants are ready for Lent.

Lent, a 40-day religious period, begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18, and ends on April 2.

21 News has compiled a list of fish fries that will be offered throughout the region.

MAHONING COUNTY

American Legion Post #76, 395 California Avenue, Sebring, noon to 7 p.m. every Friday from February 13 to April 3. Guests have the choice between a three-piece fish meal for $15 and a two-piece fish meal for $13. There is also the choice of an eight-piece shrimp meal or a chicken strip meal for $9. Sides include fries, baked potato, coleslaw, a roll and coffee. Guests can call 330-938-9082 for carryout, dinners are cash only.

Argus Lodge #545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, February 20 through April 3. Dinner includes fried or baked haddock with your choice of two sides, including cole slaw, French fries, mac & cheese or haluski. Dinner also includes bread and butter, a drink and dessert. Dinner is $17 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and under. Dine-in and carryout are both available and both cash and credit are accepted.

Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon – 2759 North Lipkey Rd., North Jackson – 4 to 7 p.m. - Fridays Feb. 20th through March 27th. Menu consists of baked or fried haddock or shrimp. Sides include homemade soup (types vary weekly), french fries, haluski and coleslaw. Dessert is also available.

CHC Restaurant & Pizza, 10941 Mahoning Avenue, North Jackson, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Fish is served every day of the week except Sundays. Fish dinners are available for dine-in or takeout. Dinners include one cold side with the option of salad, coleslaw, applesauce, or cottage cheese and one hot side with the option of french fries, JoJo's, mac and cheese, baked potatoes, broccoli, or halusky, and a dinner roll.

Daddy D's BBQ at the B&O Station, 520 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Available from February 20 to April 3. Dinners include two five-ounce planks of cod, either beer-battered or broiled, with two sides for $17. A five-piece chicken tender, hushpuppies and fries are also available.

Hot Dog Allie, 1412 South Raccoon Road, Austintown, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Offering battered fish and shrimp every Friday. Dinners include battered walleye sandwiches, walleye and shrimp combo or a golden fried shrimp dinner.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, 131 East Wood Street, Lowellville, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Available on Ash Wednesday and every Friday during Lent by carry-out, dine-in or call ahead. Dinners cost $15 and include baked or fried fish or shrimp with the choice of one side: Mac and cheese, haluski, pierogi, pasta fagiolo, coleslaw, a dinner role and dessert. Orders will be taken by walking up, calling in at 330-536-8793 or with an order form at the church or church office.

Springfield Station 21 Fireman's Association, Station 21 at 3989 East Middletown Road, New Springfield, 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. Available February 20 and 27, March 6, 13, 20 and 27. St. Blaise Parish at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center Served every Friday during Lent from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., including Good Friday. Takeout is available from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can call ahead to order takeout starting at 1 p.m. The adult menu is $16 and consists of your choice of fried or baked haddock or seven-piece fried shrimp, as well as a choice of two sides, including french fries, green beans, pierogis or Mac & Cheese. All adult meals are served with coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and drinks. Kids meals are $11 and consist of your choice of baked or fried haddock or four-piece fried shrimp and one side. 

St. Dominic Church, 77 East Lucius Avenue, Youngstown. Available every Friday starting on February 20. Fish fry dinners are $16 and include one style of fish: beer battered, pan fried, baked or cajun baked and one choice of side: mac and cheese, cabbage and noodles, or French fries. All dinners also include coleslaw, a piece of cake and condiments. St. Dominic's Church is also offering kids' pizza for $6 each. To-go orders can be picked up starting at 12:30 p.m., while dine-in hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Rd, Youngstown, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Will be open Ash Wednesday and every Friday, cash or check only. Saint John Greek Orthodox Church Seafood Fest, 4955 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman, Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. between Feb. 20 and April 3. Indoor dining or take-out. St. Mary Magdalene Parish/St.Christine Church, 3165 S. Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 1655 S. Raccoon Rd, Austintown. Home Plate Grille will be serving breaded fried fish and shrimp dinners from the kitchen of the Fratneral Order of the Eagles in Austintown every Friday through March 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinners are $15 and come with your choice of two sides, including French fries, mac & cheese, pierogis, haluski, coleslaw and more. St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren. Fish dinners are available every Friday from February 20 through March 27. Dinners cost $18 for adults, $10 for kids ages 5 to 10, and kids four and under eat for free. Dinners are available for dine-in or take-out from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinners include your choice of fried or baked haddock, or fried shrimp for an entree and two sides of either fries, mac and cheese, green beans, or St. Cyril's haluski. The dinners also include coleslaw, bread, dessert, and a choice of beverage. All proceeds benefit St. Teresa Parish and Warren JFK schools.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4453 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna. Fish lunches and dinners are available starting on Friday, February 20. Calcutta Fire Department Good Friday Fish Fry, April 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner is available dine-in or take-out, and each $10 dinner includes a choice of mac and cheese, coleslaw or french fries for a side. The dinner will include a bake sale and auction with all proceeds benefitting the St. Clair Township Tourism Bureau's Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks Festival on May 24.

The Vineyards at Pine Lake, 14101 Market Street, Columbiana, will have a drive-thru fish fry from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from January 30 through April 1, excluding March 6. Each dinner is $15, which includes beer-battered white fish, hot chips, onion dip, coleslaw and mac and cheese sides. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

St. Carlo Acutis Parish, St. Jude Activity Center, 180 7th St, Columbiana. Dinners are 4:30 to 7 p.m. every Friday during Lent from February 20 through March 27. Dinners cost $17 and include a choice of hand breaded or baked haddock or a fried shrimp dinner. Sides include homemade mac & cheese or french fries and all dinners include green beans, coleslaw, bread and butter, homemade dessert and refreshments. Soda and beer are also available for an additional donation. The parish offers dine in or carry-out.

Bessemer Croatian Club, 601 East Poland Avenue, Bessemer. Haddock or walleye dinners are available year-round for $13.50 each.
