Application deadline for water sampling program in Columbiana County is this weekend

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio - A deadline is looming for residents of Columbiana County who want to apply for the Expanded Potable Water Sampling Program.
The program is designed for residents who were concerned about their water in the aftermath of the East Palestine train derailment, but were never able to obtain a sample.
To qualify for the possible participation in the program, a resident's private drinking water well must be located in Columbiana County and outside of the current priority zones for the East Palestine train derailment response.
It is also required that the private well is functional and capable of drawing water from the ground to a spigot.
All applications must be submitted to the Columbiana County Health District by Saturday, January 31.
If you wish to participate, you can print an application by clicking here or by picking up an application at the Columbiana County Health District during normal business hours. The Columbiana County Health District is located at 7360 State Route 45 in Lisbon.
