Canfield teen sentenced for assault with pool cue

CANFIELD - A Canfield teen who assaulted a juvenile victim with a pool cue has learned his fate.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Parker Ahlquist was sentenced to 30 days in a juvenile detention center on a second-degree felony charge of felonious assault. He must also pay a $50 fine.
Ahlquist was tried as a juvenile because he was 17 years old at the time of the incident.
The charge stems from an incident back in August of 2025 when Ahlquist used a pool cue on a victim in a sexual way after getting "a little drunk" at a party in Canfield Township.
The victim was also 17 years old at the time of the incident.
According to a report from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, Ahlquist had called the victim's dad and told him not to press charges.
