The Southern Local school board holds a special meeting tonight to name a new football coach.

Per the board agenda, they're being asked to non renew Zac Almy as head coach.  The next item is to approve Jimmy Malone as the new head coach.

Almy was the head coach in 2025 following the resignation of former coach Rich Wright.

The Indians were 2-8 in 2025.
