Trial scheduled for Warren man accused of stabbing at Niles shopping plaza

NILES - A trial date has been set for a suspect in a stabbing that took place in a shopping plaza in Niles in November of 2025.
According to court records, 52-year-old Kenyon Kellum is set to go to trial on February 2. Kellum is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of attempted murder.
The charges stem from an incident in the Gentry Center plaza on Route 422 in Niles where a witness says a couple was arguing, which escalated to a male victim getting stabbed in the neck.
Kellum was arrested at a Days Inn hotel less than a mile away from the plaza.
A second suspect in the case, identified as 46-year-old Zulekha Berry, is still at large. A warrant has been issued for her arrest with one charge of attempted murder.
