Westbound traffic slowed down following an accident along Interstate 80 in Hubbard Wednesday morning.

An SUV slid off the highway, striking a guardrail and landing in the median just west of the Hubbard interchange. The driver wasn’t hurt.

There was a second accident nearby.

The left, westbound lane was temporarily shut down as first responders cleared the damaged vehicles.

According to a weather sensor at the intersection, the air temperature was seven degrees below zero, and the temperature of the road surface was two degrees.
