Pizza delivery driver reports robbery on Youngstown’s Westside

Youngstown police are investigating a reported robbery of a pizza delivery driver on the city's west side.
The driver told officers he was attempting to deliver food to a home on Oregon Avenue near North Meridian Road around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. He said he saw a dark green Jeep parked on the street, and the driver flagged him down.
The delivery driver told police that when he stopped, one of the men demanded money while keeping his hands inside a sweatshirt as if he had a weapon. The driver gave the men about $140 in cash. The suspects then drove away toward Meridian Road.
The driver described the suspects as two men wearing sweatshirts and ski masks.
Officers searched the area but didn’t find the Jeep. Police also spoke with a resident at the delivery address, but she told them she did not know anyone with a Jeep.
The victim said he had delivered food to that specific address before and did not believe the suspects came from that house.
