SHARON - The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Mercer County have reopened to traffic.
The highway was closed earlier Wednesday morning between the Ohio state line and the Sharon/Hermitage exit. The closure followed a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
While the lanes are now open, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is keeping speed restrictions in place. Winter weather continues to impact the northwest region.
Speeds are reduced to 45 mph on Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line in Mercer County to Exit 42 in Venango County.
Commercial vehicles must stay in the right lane where speed limits are reduced. State officials advise drivers to avoid any travel that is not necessary while conditions remain poor.
