Youngstown City School District (YCSD) announced Wednesday that it will be closed through the end of the week due to the expected windchill in the area.

The announcement was made through a Facebook post on January 28, 2026, with school closings set for January 29 and 30.

Classes for the district are planned to resume on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The cancellation impacts 15 total schools in the YCSD.
