Plunging temperatures over the next two nights; less harsh next week

The whole week has been very cold, but the next couple of nights will likely feature the coldest temperatures of this streak of harsh weather. There won't be much wind, so wind chill values will stay close to the air temperature...which will be around -10 or so in most spots. Car thermometers and personal weather stations in the coldest spots could register readings as low as -15 to -20, especially early Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Friday will bring some anemic late-January sunshine. We expect clouds to win out on Saturday, especially during the afternoon.
After the weekend, a somewhat more "typical" flavor of winter cold will settle in....meaning highs in the 20s instead of the teens. Overnight lows are unlikely to be below zero next week. While there will be little or no snow over the next handful of days, snow chances could return to eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania during the middle and latter portions of next week.
