Tails of Hope in Hermitage celebrates 10th anniversary
It was an emotional celebration looking back on ten years Tails of Hope has been established.
"What began as a hope has become healing, second chances in a community that never gives up on pets or people," Diane O'Brien-Webster, co-founder of Tails of Hope said. "We provide low cost spay neuter services to folks who like to bring their dogs and cats here. We also have a program that we are able to help people who are unable to afford these services," she said.
Tails of Hope has served almost 40 counties across Western PA & Eastern Ohio since doors opened in 2017. Creating this business and it's model was a labor of love that O'Brien-Webster's late husband Thomas didn't get the chance to see come to life.
"We started this project a few months after he passed away in 2011, he was a great animal lover," O'Brien-Webster said.
Tails of hope is kicking off an endowment campaign, asking for your donations because without the volunteers and community, this service wouldn't be what it is today.
"We're asking them to dig very deep into their soul and into their heart to see if they would be able to do that for us. With an endowment campaign, we know that we would be able to continue our mission," O'Brien-Webster said.
After ten years they were finally able to cut the ribbon on their success, an opportunity they didn't have before.
To date, the clinic has spayed or neutered more than 18,000 cats and dogs. If you'd like to donate, you can do that on their website here.
