GIRARD - A boil alert has been issued for a neighborhood in Girard on Friday morning.

The Girard Water Department has issued a boil alert for residents on Woodlawn Avenue, Park Avenue, Villa Place, Patricia Drive, Beechwood Avenue and Beaver Avenue until further notice.

Anyone on these streets should avoid using water from faucets without first boiling it and drink bottled water until the alert is lifted.
