Report: East Liverpool native Lou Holtz enters hospice care
He's a East Liverpool high school graduate

East Liverpool native and legendary football coach Lou Holtz has reportedly entered hospice care in Birmingham, Alabama.
The 88 year old Holtz grew up in East Liverpool and graduated from Kent State University in 1959.
He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008. He was the head coach at NC State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame and South Carolina.
He led the Fighting Irish to a national championship in 1988.
Holtz was also an assistant at Ohio State in 1968 that won a National Championship.
In 2020, Holtz was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Donald Trump.
