Sweet Memories Vintage Tees, Handel's Ice Cream announce partnership
Two companies have announced that they are partnering to fundraise together for children and their families.
Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy, located at 1282 Trumbull Avenue, Suite A1 in Girard, and Handel's Ice Cream, which has locations throughout the Mahoning Valley area, announced the partnership in a news release on Friday.
The reason for the partnership is noted as allowing both entities to partner with the goal of supporting Akron Children's together, although both have done so independently in the past.
"It truly feels like it was time," said Linda Barton, Founder of Sweet Memories Vintage Tees.
Barton continued," Handel's has always been a part of family traditions growing up, and Sweet Memories was built on honoring those same kinds of moments. We both care deeply about Akron Children's, so partnering to make an even bigger impact just made perfect sense."
The partnership will officially begin on February 6, during Sweet Memories Vintage Tees' three-year anniversary celebration. During that time, the store will be debuting an exclusive Handel's Ice Cream T-shirt line.
Additionally, Handel's Ice Cream will be giving away ice cream pops at Sweet Memories' 1282 Trumbull Avenue location while supplies last.
A donation will also be presented to Akron Children's Hospital. Since its launch in 2020, Sweet Memories Vintage Tees has reportedly raised $74,001.86 for the hospital, according to the release.
To thank customers for their support throughout the years, Sweet Memories Vintage Tees will be offering a buy one shirt, get two free promotion on select styles of shirts to celebrate.
