BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - The owners of Southern Park Mall in Boardman have sold one of the property's parcels for $350,000, according to the Mahoning County Auditor's website.

The January 23 sale comes just a couple of months after mall owner Mike Kohan paid back $1,063,789.40 owed in property taxes and penalties. At the time, Kohan told 21 News that he was looking toward investing in the mall's future.

Auditor records show the vacant parcel was sold for roughly $70,000 less than its full appraised value of $420,990.

The 1.37 acre parcel is located at the southwest corner of the mall near Market Street and Stadium Drive. The buyer of the parcel, FIDC 184 LLC is listed as being located at 100 Debartolo Place Suite 400, Boardman OH 44512. The address belongs to residential and commercial real estate developer, Cocca Development.

A 21 News Watchdog Report in September uncovered that the Kohan Retail Investment Group owed millions of dollars in property taxes for properties located across the country.
