'Wear A Tutu' event raises funds for Mahoning Valley organization

The 2nd annual "Wear A Tutu" event took place on Monday at Double Bogey's, with all toes pointed at raising funds for a cause.
Each year a different organization benefits from the "Wear A Tutu" event, with 2026's proceeds going to Moab House, a local organization helping youth who have aged out of foster care.
"We had an amazing help this year, we were able to get from the community," Sharon Moser, founder of the event, said. "We have 55 baskets, we have over $8,000 in items donated to us from our community."
The event raised over $11,500 in ticket sales and partnerships leading up to the fundraiser, Moser said.
Dueling Pianos entertainment with Cleveland Keys provided live entertainment for the event and, according to Moser, the group donated its fee to the Moab House.
"We're very grateful," Moab House Executive Director Marcie Consiglio said. "From everything that we do, we provide transportation, we cover all of their food expenses, their toiletries. Everything that they could possibly need, we cover it for them, so every dollar helps us to be able to do more for them."
Consigilio stated that she hopes the organization can grow into finding more locations outside of its current service area. Moab House specializes in helping individuals ages 18 to 21.
The "tutu" event takes place on 2/2 each year.
Moab House is headquartered in Boardman.
