A Trumbull County attorney has announced her candidacy for county commissioner.

Kristen Rock, a Democrat from Liberty Township, has announced her run for county commissioner in the May 2026 primary election.

Rock has experience in legal practice and has served on boards and fiscal oversight commissions related to Liberty Township and local schools.

"I will use my experience in law, economic development, and fiscal oversight to get the most value out of every dollar we spend, grow our job base, and deliver practical solutions to the everyday problems facing our communities," Rock stated.

The candidate has worked as an attorney and trade advisor outside of Liberty in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Rock also stated that she plans to focus on economic development, fiscal responsibility and collaboration with residents, local leaders and businesses.

The primary election takes place on May 5, 2026.
