COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio - Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a "serious-injury crash" after a snowplow hit a pedestrian in Columbiana County on Tuesday, according to a report from the OSHP Lisbon Post. 

Around 6:09 a.m. Tuesday, the report alleges an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) snowplow struck a pedestrian on State Route 7 near Elkrun Township. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Ronnie White of East Liverpool, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The report adds that the snowplow was not actively plowing the roadway at the time of the crash.

OSHP says the incident is under investigation.
