Eastwood Field on the complex of the Cafaro properties in Niles has a new name.

717 Credit Union and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers announced a partnership designed to deepen 7 17’s commitment to Northeast Ohio. 7 17 Credit Union CEO John Demmler and Mahoning Valley Scrappers Executive Vice President Jordan Taylor unveiled a new logo, revealing Eastwood Field will now be named 7 17 Credit Union Field at Eastwood.

“This partnership marks our largest community investment to date in the Mahoning Valley,” said Demmler. “We hope 7 17 Credit Union Field at Eastwood will serve as a space for baseball, community events and an even larger symbol of the area.”

“This is an exciting and meaningful partnership between two Mahoning Valley companies,” said Taylor. “We are all dedicated to expanding opportunities to our communities and look forward to providing quality entertainment for years to come.”

The naming rights partnership deepens an already-existing relationship between two legacy, local Mahoning Valley entities.

As part of 7 17’s ongoing commitment to the Mahoning Valley, CEO John Demmler announced the Valley First Auto Refinance Program. Anyone in Ohio can bring their auto loan to 7 17, and get the lower of our stated rates or 2% off their current rate down to a floor of 3.99%. The promotion runs until Scrappers opening day, June 2. It’s a way for 7 17 to promote financial wellness – right here in our community.

Every year, 7 17 Credit Union buys out the field for Financial Wellness Night at the Ballpark. Over 9,000 people attended in 2025 with another planned for July 17, 2026.

7 17 will continue its Dollar Dog Kids Club partnership, offering kids free tickets to home games and giving out ice cream for any grand slam hit at a Scrappers Home Game to kids in the program. The program, which serves 2,215 kids 12 and younger, is a fun and engaging way to teach financial literacy from an early age. As part of that deeper relationship, 7 17 announced a VIP benefit program for members who have a Scrappers Affinity Partner Credit Card. When using their card, members will receive:
