Attorney, Liberty resident enters Trumbull County Commissioner race

WARREN - An attorney and resident of Liberty Township has officially entered the race for a seat on the Trumbull County Board of Commissioners.
Democratic candidate Kristen Rock has officially filed for the Trumbull County Commissioner race and is looking to fill the seat currently occupied by Republican Denny Malloy.
Malloy, who is seeking re-election in November of 2026, is challenged by fellow Republican candidate and Bazetta Township Trustee Mike Hovis in the May primary.
No other Democrats have filed in this race.
Rock is quoted in a press release saying families and businesses in Trumbull County deserve a county government that works for them.
"I believe I'm the candidate who will keep the county fiscally solvent, maintain critical services and bring forth a future in economic development to benefit our families and businesses," Rock said.
Rock is an attorney who worked in private practice, as well as state and federal courts and with the Ohio Department of Development's International Trade Division.
She's also served on Liberty Township's Zoning Board and the Liberty Local School Fiscal Oversight Commission, as well as the Junior League of the Mahoning Valley.
She currently serves on the Lake Milton Utilities Commission and the Humility of Mary Charitable Trust Board.
Rock said in the release that her experience in law, economic development and fiscal oversight will help Trumbull County get the most value out of taxpayer dollars, grow its job base and deliver practical solutions to everyday problems in the county's communities.
