Lisbon officials have scheduled a water service interruption for Friday to allow the village water department to fix a leak. The outage is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and should be concluded by 4 p.m.

The repair work centers on a leak near the intersection of South Beaver and West Washington streets. Mayor Peter Wilson announced that the shutoff will impact residents living on South Beaver Street between West Washington and Maple streets. Service will also be interrupted on West Washington Street between South Market and Graham Streets.

Once the water department restores service, a boil order will take effect for all affected properties. Residents in these areas should boil any water used for drinking or cooking as a safety precaution until the order is lifted.

Village officials said the repairs are necessary to address the leak and maintain the local infrastructure.
