Browns head coach Todd Monken is looking for a new defensive coordinator.

Jim Schwartz submitted a letter of resignation Thursday.

The Browns released the following:

"Yesterday, Jim Schwarz submitted his letter of resignation as defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns. We'd like to thank Jim for contributions to our organization over he last three years. Our search for a new defensive coordinator will begin immediately.
