YOUNGSTOWN - Crews with the Youngstown Water Department are working to repair a water main break that happened on Friday afternoon.

It took the department until the late hours of Friday evening to find the break, which was located at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Everett Avenue.

The water main break affected those living in the Brownlee Woods neighborhood, resulting in little to no water pressure.

The city's Water Commissioner, Harry Johnson, tells 21 News that crews were able to shut off the water without affecting surrounding customers to begin repairs Friday evening.

As of Saturday morning, Johnson says crews are continuing to make repairs to the break and that it should be fixed by Saturday evening. He adds that no home will have impacts on its water pressure while the repairs are being made.

A boil advisory or alert has not been issued at this time.
