Young athletes at Hess Ice Rink in New Castle are excited to see hockey in the Olympics
While the world is gearing up for the Olympics here at home, young athletes are brushing up on their own skills.
Thrilled to see hockey on display in front of the world, these youngsters dare to dream big.
"It's exciting to see people at the Olympics doing what I'm doing because if I would want to do anything, I would want to do that when i grow up," Parker Davis, hockey player in Pennsylvania said.
From the biggest to the smallest, athletes in training at Hess Ice Rink enjoy a good session and are expecting an even better performance at the games.
"I just love the fast pace and the intensity of the sport," Aaron Breuer hockey player, said.
"Going out there playing with my friends and giving my heart out, giving it my all," Braddox Young, hockey player, said. "I really hope USA wins but it'll be a competition because of Canada, Sweden and Finland," he said.
"I like the hitting, contacts and I like offense a lot. I like just the scoring and how you have to think to play," Caleb Wilczak, hockey player, said.
Their coach, passionate and attentive, believes any one of them could make it to the Olympics.
"I trained with a lot of pros in the off season as well, and a couple of the kids I used to skate with and train they're actually playing for Team USA in the Olympics. There's always a chance," Grant Springer, skills and skating coach said.
