One more cold day is in the way of short-lived relief, but more above-freezing temperatures are on the horizon for the second half of February.

After a good deal of morning sunshine, expect more clouds throughout the second half of Monday, with high temperatures only making it to the mid-20s. Temperatures will only fall to the upper teens on Monday night, then rise overnight.

Temperatures by daybreak on Tuesday will rise to the mid-20s before rising to the low 40s Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday's high temperatures will be our warmest in nearly a month, and our first above-freezing high temperature in 18 days.

Temperatures will slide below freezing for the second half of the week, with high temperatures falling back to the low 30s on Wednesday and upper 20s on Thursday and Friday.

This week will stay quiet from start to finish, with just flurries in the forecast Tuesday through Wednesday night. We are watching trends for more widespread rain and a wintry mix later this weekend, but at this point, that threat remains on the lower end.
