Woman accused of abusing child pleads guilty to endangering, domestic violence

A Struthers woman accused of abusing and malnourishing her seven-year-old son pleaded guilty to charges on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Kamille Hibbitt, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering children and one count of domestic violence. She is set to be sentenced on March 10 at 11:30 a.m.
Hibbitt's case, originally filed through Struthers Municipal Court, was bound over to the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas in October of 2025.
Charges stem from the hospitalization of a seven-year-old boy who was found to have severe injuries.
Police say that Hibbitt brought the boy to the hospital, with staff noticing that the child was unconscious and covered in bruises.
A criminal complaint further alleged that the boy's core temperature was 85 degrees, his sodium level was significantly lower and normal and he had no pulse in his legs.
At this time, Hibbitt allegedly told police that she delayed seeking care for the child because she was afraid she would be accused of abuse due to the bruises.
Another woman connected to the case, 30-year-old Essence Revely, is facing multiple charges as well, including felonious assault and endangering children.
Revely is set to appear in court on March 18, 2026, for a pre-trial hearing. As of February 9, Revely also has a jury trial hearing on March 23.
