Alta Care Group nonprofit names new program director

The Alta Care Group, a Valley nonprofit organization aiming to support the health and well-being of children and their families, announced in a news release on Tuesday that a new director for the Alta Head Start and Early Head Start programs has been named.
Donna Shields, pictured below, will step into the role of Director for both the Alta Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

In her new role, Sheilds will oversee the administration and management of both programs.
"I'm excited to step into this new role within Alta Care Group and lead out Head Start and Early Head Start programs with the same passion, commitment and love for serving the community that has guided us for so many years," said Shields.
Shields, according to the release, has over 30 years of experience within the Head Start organization, having previously served as Assistant Director of Alta Head Start and has had various roles within the Trumbull County Community Action Program.
Additionally, she is noted to have earned a degree in early childhood education from Ashford University and is CLASS certified, alongside having a Family Development Credential (FDC).
